Dr. Welker is Board Certified in Family Medicine.  He attended The University of Michigan where he obtained his Bachelors of Science degree.  Dr. Welker graduated from Wayne State University Medical School in 1987.  His residency training was completed at Oakwood Hospital Dearborn.  He is a member of the Beaumont Hospital Medical Staff, American Academy of Family Practice, Michigan Academy of Family Physicians, Michigan State Medical Society, and the Wayne County Medical Society.

Dr. Welker has been named Hour Magazines “Top Doc” throughout the years.  He was also featured in Metro Parent Magazine “Mom Approved Doctors”.
